ISO 9001 Work environment 6.4
The working environment must be managed to achieve a
conforming product, such as:
Human factors
> safety rules and guidance
> ergonomics
Physical factors
> hygiene, cleanliness
> noise, vibration
> heat, light, air-flow
> security
Perhaps
this is the first move towards an ISO Standard on Integrated Management Systems. Pop
down your local public library and compare ISO14001 (Environmental) and
OHSAS18001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
You’ll be hard
pressed to see much difference in layout and basic requirements.
